Dayspring Orthodontics ("Dayspring", "we", "us") is the orthodontic practice of Dr. Ana Lilian Lopez, DMD, MS, at 8255 Lee Vista Blvd, Suite D, Orlando, Florida 32829. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect through dayspringortho.com, by phone, email and text message, and how we use and protect it.
Health information you share with us as a patient is protected health information under HIPAA and is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive at the office. Where this policy and the Notice overlap, the Notice controls for patient records.
Information we collect
- What you give us. When you request a consultation we ask for your name, email address, phone number, who the visit is for, what you are interested in, and anything you choose to tell us. When you call, email or text us we keep the content of that conversation and your contact details.
- Text-message consent. If you opt in to text messages we record your mobile number, the date, time and method of your consent (for example the checkbox on our consultation form, or a request made in the office), and any STOP or HELP replies.
- Technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider logs the IP address, browser type and pages requested in order to serve the site and keep it secure. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may record the request; see Google's privacy policy for details.
How we use it
- To answer your request and schedule your consultation.
- To send appointment reminders, confirmations and customer-care messages by phone, email or, if you have opted in, text message.
- To run, secure and improve the website.
- To meet legal, insurance and record-keeping obligations.
Text messaging (SMS)
No mobile opt-in message consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
We send text messages only to people who have consented by checking the text-message box on our consultation form, asking us in the office, or texting us first. Messages are limited to appointment reminders and customer care. Message frequency varies with your care. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP or calling (407) 447-9060. Full program terms are in our Terms & Conditions.
Your phone number and consent record are stored with the messaging provider that delivers our texts, acting on our behalf under contract. Neither we nor that provider sell, rent or share your number or your opt-in for anyone else's marketing.
How we share information
- Service providers. Companies that host our website, run our scheduling and practice-management software, and deliver our phone, email and text messages. They may use your information only to provide those services to us and are bound by confidentiality and, where applicable, HIPAA business-associate agreements.
- Legal requirements. When required by law, subpoena or to protect the rights and safety of patients, staff or the public.
- Never for sale. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with affiliates or third parties for their own marketing.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to opt out of text messages. We will send one confirmation and no further texts unless you opt in again.
- Email hello@dayspringortho.com or call (407) 447-9060 to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.
Security and retention
Consultation requests travel over an encrypted connection and are stored in systems with access limited to staff who need it. We keep contact information for as long as you are a prospective or active patient, and afterwards for as long as Florida law and our record-keeping policies require.
Children
Our website is intended for adults. Parents and guardians request consultations on behalf of children; we do not knowingly collect information online from anyone under 13 without a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Continued use of the website or of our text-message program after a change means you accept the updated policy.
